Rich Graves

Born in Michigan, and after four years in the United States Air Force, Rich has been a Maryland resident since 1985.  He attended the University of Baltimore, receiving his Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 1992.  After working for other firms in the area for 11 years, he opened his own practice in June 2003.  He has practiced as a Certified Public Accountant for since that time and currently has offices located in Centreville, Easton, and Kent Island MD.

When he opened his office in June 2003, he has always believed in putting the clients’ needs first.  His firm motto is “Taxes Suck, but the process does NOT have too”.   We make it easy for you to get your taxes completed.

Though this process, Rich has become adept at serving a number of distinct client service areas.   These include:

  • Small Business accounting and tax filing, reporting and compliance.
  • Real Estate transactions, from individual transactions, Investors and the Realtor.
  • Tax Resolution. Does the IRS or State have you in a bind?  We can help.
  • Bookkeeping services. Need some support?  Need a LOT of support?  We can help.
  • Payroll and other compliance reporting. We are prepared to unravel the mystery.
  • Quickbooks accounting, both the desktop and On Line versions. I remember unwrapping the first box when Quickbooks was released in 1994, so we have lots of experience here.

 

Proud of his Service to Rotary International and the Centreville Rotary Club since July 2023.  Daily we are making a difference in our community, both locally and around the world.

Married for since 1990 to his wonderful wife, Kim, and proud father of his son, Colin.

 

 

Paul G. “Greg” Whitby,

Tax Manager • Maryland Registered Tax Preparer

Works in Centreville and Kent Island Offices

Greg is a lifelong resident of Queen Anne’s County. He earned his Master’s degree in Accounting and Financial Management from University of Maryland, University College in 2009. With 20 years public accounting experience, he specializes in personal and small business taxes, cryptocurrencies, and nonprofit organizations. He believes our job as tax professionals is not only to prepare a tax return but to gather an understanding of what can be done from a tax perspective to assist our clients in reaching their future financial goals.

Greg is a long time member of, and EMT with, a local volunteer fire department where he has held several elected positions.

He lives in Centreville with his wife, Jenny, and his son Jaxson. In his free time, Greg and his family enjoy going to concerts, football games, and traveling to the Caribbean (after tax season of course). He also enjoys watching his son play baseball and soccer.

 

Angelique Wangner

Staff Accountant • Payroll Specialist

 Angelique joined the Richard C Graves CPA LLC team in 2014 already having nine years of accounting and tax preparation experience. Focusing on the bookkeeping and payroll needs of our small business clients she ensures their financial records are accurate, organized, and complete for tax filings.

Angelique has a Certificate in Accounting from the University of Maryland University College. Her original undergraduate studies were completed at the University of Virginia where she received her B.A. in Biology.

A native of Virginia, Angelique has called Talbot County, MD home since 1991. She raised two daughters on the Eastern Shore and now raises the cats they left behind when they moved on to New York City and Wilmington, NC.

Lidiya Bridges

Lidiya has worked in the accounting and tax industry since 2012. Prior to joining our firm in 2018, she was the office manager for Joseph M Davis CPA, LLC, which practice was acquired by our firm. Lidiya has a wide range of accounting experience, QuickBooks expertise, tax preparation & planning for individuals and small businesses. She is dedicated to helping clients achieve business success by establishing simple and practical accounting and financial processes and tax planning that meet each client’s unique objectives.

Lidiya has a Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism Management from University of National & World Economy (Sofia, Bulgaria). She also took various accounting and tax classes at Chesapeake College, Maryland. Lidiya passed the CPA exam on the first try in August 2018 and is licensed in the state of Maryland. 

Lidiya is originally from Bulgaria and moved to the US in 2006. She has been living in Talbot County with her husband and daughter ever since. Outside of the office, Lidiya enjoys playing tennis, swimming, learning new languages and traveling.

Emilee K Kingsley

Staff Accountant

Maryland CPA Candidate

 Emilee grew up locally in Queen Anne’s County and earned her undergraduate degree in Business Management at Washington College. She graduated with her Masters of Accounting from the Robert H Smith School of Business at University of Maryland, College Park.

Emilee joined Richard C Graves and Associates in spring of 2020 as a Staff Accountant. She enjoys assisting new businesses with their bookkeeping and accounting needs, the ever-changing cryptocurrency tax rules, and 1031 exchanges. She is currently studying to sit for her CPA exams.

When she’s not at work, Emilee likes hiking and roller skating and volunteers as a member of the Queen Anne’s County Rotaract Club.
